David-Wang

Dr. David Wang

Senior Vice President, Care Transformation

Dr. David Wang has joined IKS Health as Senior Vice President, Care Transformation. Dr. Wang is a physician executive who has led health plan and care delivery organizations to drive value through aligning risk and transforming complex care platforms. As SVP, Care Transformation, Dr. Wang works closely with Peter Limeri and Dr. Grace Terrell to support platform implementation and advance our value-based care initiatives.

Before joining IKS Health, Dr. Wang was the Chief Operating Officer at Mass Advantage, a provider-owned health plan, where he was responsible for overseeing plan operations and driving performance. His areas of focus included total cost of care, quality, risk adjustment, member experience, and network strategy. Collaborating with health system partners, he developed care models designed for success under global capitation.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Wang led the palliative care service line at Scripps Health, expanding the team from 18 to 50 clinicians. As a cross-functional leader, he worked closely with teams across the organization to transform care delivery within risk-based payment models. Dr. Wang is also a recognized thought leader in complex care, with 75 peer-reviewed publications and numerous national presentations.

Dr. Navesh Kandiyil, MD, MBA, FACHE, is our Senior Vice President Coding Commercialization. Dr. Kandiyil is an accomplished physician with over 20 years of clinical and business experience. He is clinically trained and has practiced in various specialties, including General Medicine, Surgery, and Occupational Health. His extensive knowledge encompasses diagnostic and patient care services across diverse delivery settings, including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and government/private hospitals and clinics, both domestically and internationally.

At IKS Health, Dr. Kandiyil is responsible for accelerating the growth and commercialization of our coding business. He collaborates with product teams on new feature development and enhancements, and with market-facing teams to support commercialization efforts.

Vijay Venkatesan serves as the Chief Technology Officer at IKS Health, where he leads the engineering and technology teams with a focus on building robust, scalable platforms that drive efficiency, innovation, and client value. With over 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare technology, Vijay is a visionary leader who has successfully implemented advanced solutions like Generative AI, machine learning, and big data analytics to solve complex industry challenges.

In his role at IKS Health, Vijay is responsible for overseeing the company’s end-to-end technology strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of engineering and technology initiatives that fuel IKS Health’s growth. His mandate includes not only the internal and external evolution of the company’s tech stack but also fostering a culture of innovation, recruiting top engineering talent, and establishing strategic partnerships to enhance IKS Health’s technological edge.

Juhee Patil has joined IKS Health as Senior Vice President – Talent Acquisition. Juhee brings with her over two decades of deep expertise in talent acquisition, workforce strategy, and leadership development, with a strong track record of driving large-scale recruitment initiatives and building high-performance teams.

In her role, Juhee is at the helm of our talent acquisition strategies, ensuring we attract and retain top-tier talent to support IKS Health’s growth and success. Her focus is to align our recruitment efforts with our business objectives and values, adapting to the dynamic needs of our organization.

Juhee brings with her over two decades of experience spanning multiple sectors, including Healthcare, BFSI, R&A, Travel, and Utilities. She joins us from R1 RCM where she was responsible for developing innovative recruiting strategies, enhancing employer branding, and scaling the organization with the right talent. Prior to R1 she worked as Country Leader, Talent Acquisition at WNS Global Services in the Philippines.

Beyond her professional achievements, Juhee is an avid traveler and adventure sports enthusiast; bringing a dynamic and energetic perspective to our team.

Ryan Huebbers is an expert with over 20 years in healthcare business advisory, strategy, and physician enterprise operations. Huebbers brings a strong enterprise strategic planning background. He is skilled in developing innovative, transformative strategies and partnerships for providers across the continuum of care, including physician groups, ambulatory providers, community-based hospitals, integrated health systems, and post-acute providers. Most recently, he served as a Director in the Strategy Practice at a large national healthcare management consulting firm.

Laura brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare IT to IKS Health. Throughout her career, she has successfully led product strategies for both existing and emerging markets, developed and executed tactical plans, and guided high-performing global product management teams. Laura has extensive experience in resource management, team building, budget oversight, project scoping, and cultivating customer relationships, all while driving continuous strategic and tactical improvement.

Laura’s expertise spans various healthcare technology offerings, including Software as a Service (SaaS), B2B, B2B2C, client-server, and mainframe systems. She has been instrumental in advancing patient engagement, revenue optimization, clinical workflows, clinical decision support, and EHR systems, holding leadership roles at organizations like Change Healthcare, Optum, NextGen, and Siemens Healthcare.

Before joining IKS Health, Laura led large, global product management teams across acute, ancillary, and ambulatory EMR markets, as well as revenue cycle management. Her deep understanding of healthcare technology will help IKS Health stay focused on customer needs, identify new value creation opportunities, and better anticipate the complexities of integrating into customer systems.

Laura holds a degree in English Literature and Business Communications from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She is Pragmatic Marketing Certified, a Forbes contributor, and recognized as one of the leading product management executives in healthcare IT.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys hiking, kayaking, yoga, the arts, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about her volunteer work at local shelters, as well as her other philanthropic efforts within her community. Laura has two adult children: Emma, an expressive art therapist in Delaware, and Ryan, an anthropology major in Pennsylvania.

He consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment within the Audit, Risk, and Compliance function, while significantly advancing various departmental initiatives.

With over two decades of extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, information security and compliance across sectors such as healthcare, insurance, banking, and finance, Amit has a proven track record of strengthening corporate governance, compliance and control frameworks.

As Senior Vice President, Amit’s role encompasses corporate governance, information security and US healthcare compliance. His leadership enhances collaboration and ensures that Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Security and Risk Management are seamlessly integrated into the organization’s overall business strategy.

Sameer Chavan is the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of our Company. She has built several health care companies from the ground up to multimillion dollar companies recognized for exceptional client experiences , including three highly touted healthcare services firms which were subsequently successfully merged with major business partners.

Sue sits on multiple Boards and gives a lot of her time and resources to various children’s charities.

Nithya Balasubramanian is the Chief Financial Officer of our Company. She has over 16 years of experience in the field of marketing. She has previously worked with McKinsey & Company, Inc., Cipla Limited and AllianceBernstein Business Services Private Limited. She is responsible for the global financial operations, administration and facilities, ERP, investor relations, and the overall business strategy of the Company. She was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer on May 15, 2024.

Dave has been a leader in healthcare for the past 30 years, with experience in physician practice management and ambulatory surgery centers. Dave is currently serving as the interim CEO of OrthoNY, a 90+ provider orthopedic specialty group with 3 ambulatory surgery centers. He is the former CEO of Proliance Surgeons, a 450+ specialty provider medical group with 23 surgery centers.

During Dave’s 20 years as CEO, Proliance grew from a small orthopedic group to a large, statewide group with many different specialties. As the former CEO of Frontier Derm Partners, a private equity-backed dermatology MSO spanning two states and over 100 providers, he led Frontier through a significant platforming process, growing the organization while maintaining focus during the COVID shutdowns. Dave is the founder of Burst Advisors which was formed to share his experience with doctors all over the country who are working together in their communities, whether they are in an independent group, a surgery center, or thinking about partnering with a larger platform.

A 33-year veteran of the healthcare IT field, Mr. Patrick Cline is a highly respected strategist and experienced operator. He became the CEO of Lightbeam Health in 2012, and is a certified executive coach, mentoring leaders in balance, communication, teamwork, and goal achievement. At IKS Health, Mr. Cline is the Advisor and Executive Coach to Joe Benardello, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. 

From 2009 – 2011, he served as the President and Chief Strategy Officer of Quality Systems Inc. Mr. Cline was responsible for identifying and overseeing the continued growth of QSI through the development and management of partnerships and strategic alliances that expanded and strengthened its market presence and capabilities. Prior to QSI, Mr. Cline served as President of NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, one of the first electronic health record systems. NextGen was acquired by Quality Systems, a small publicly-held division of QSI, where Pat and his team eventually stayed on to run the NextGen subsidiary. Before the start of his illustrious journey in healthcare, Mr. Cline was with the Marine Corps. At the age of 21, he developed one of the industry’s first medical practice management systems. 

Christopher J. Sclafani

Former President and Chief Operating Officer, Veritas Veterinary Partners

Mr. Sclafani is the Former President and Chief Operating Officer of Veritas Veterinary Partners, a leading nationwide provider of Emergency and Specialty Veterinarian services. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Optum Tri- State. For over 20 years he had been the Chief Operating Officer of CareMount Medical, PC (formerly known as Mount Kisco Medical Group). Mr. Sclafani was an integral member of the executive leadership team at CareMount and was a key participant in the development of the strategic and operational direction for the Group.

Prior to joining CareMount, he was a Senior Vice President at Putnam Hospital Center (PHC). Before PHC, Mr. Sclafani worked for Central Hudson Gas and Electric. Right after college, he served four years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.
Mr. Sclafani earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Villanova University and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Fordham University.

Bruce Swartz

In his role at Dignity Health, Mr. Swartz is responsible for the enterprise Physician Integration strategy and operation inclusive of all employment models, Clinical Integration, Bundle Payment Care Improvement, and Population Health Management. Mr. Swartz leads the development of cooperative relationships between physicians and Dignity Health hospitals and management, profit and loss responsibility, physician related mergers and acquisitions, and provides leadership to the development of physician support mechanisms that facilitate the alignment of physicians and Dignity Health entities..

Prior to Dignity Health, he served as the Executive Vice President of MED3000, a national technology and physician practice management company. In that role, Mr. Swartz was responsible for national managed care operations, payer and provider risk management contracts, and emergency response operations.

In addition, Mr. Swartz held executive positions at WellPoint as Vice President Network Management, inclusive of Commercial, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and ancillary provider contracting, Chief Operating Officer for Premier Practice Management, Senior Vice President Mergers and Acquisitions for MedPartners, and Vice President Operations for Mullikin Medical Centers.

Mr. Swartz holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and Masters of Healthcare Administration from California State University Northridge.

Alan M. Muney

M.D. - Healthcare Consultant and Part-time Chief Medical Officer, SelectQuote Insurance services

Dr. Muney is a physician and executive leader with more than 35 years of experience leading healthcare payor and provider organizations. As the part-time Chief Medical Officer at SelectQuote Insurance services, he provides strategic guidance on program development and execution for health plan initiatives focusing on member engagement, clinical quality, and care delivery. He also drives initiatives that support healthcare services members in accessing high-value medical and clinical services to achieve improved health outcomes.

Most recently, he served as Cigna’s Chief Medical Officer and EVP of Total Health and Network, overseeing clinical strategy, coverage policy, quality measurement and improvement, and total health physician and clinical operations. Before Cigna, Dr. Muney was an Executive Director in the Private Equity Group at Blackstone and the CEO of Equity Healthcare, which he founded to manage the healthcare costs of Blackstone’s portfolio companies. Alan was also EVP, Chief Medical Officer of Oxford Health Plans, and Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealthcare of the Northeast region from 1998-2007.

Former President, Chief Executive Officer & Director, Partners HealthCare System, Inc.

Member Emeritus, IKS Health Advisory Board Dr. David Torchiana, MD serves as Chairman of Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) at Massachusetts General Hospital and has also been its Chief Executive Officer since 2003. MGPO is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation, and the largest physician group practice in New England, representing more than 2,000 physicians. Dr. Torchiana was the Chief of cardiac surgery at Mass General from 1998 to 2003. He completed residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital before joining the Department of Surgery in 1989. 

He is a member of American College of Surgeons and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and a trustee of Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Torchiana is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Timothy G Ferris

Chief Executive Officer, Massachusetts General Physicians Organization

Trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Ferris is a practicing primary care physician and Senior Vice President for Population Health at Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners HealthCare in Boston. He is also an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and holds degrees from Middlebury College, Oxford University, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health. 

Former positions include Vice Chair of Pediatrics at Mass General and Medical Director of Mass General Physicians Organization. He leads the Partners Healthcare Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and is responsible for design and implementation of system-wide care delivery changes that will improve patient health, improve patient experience of healthcare, and reduce the healthcare cost burden. Dr. Ferris has over 100 publications in the areas of healthcare quality measurement, risk adjustment, population management, and information technology. He has served on multiple committees

for the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and National Quality Forum (NQF), and as a consultant to the Congressional Research Service, National Governor’s Association, the World Health Organization, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.

Larry Tatum

Chief Executive Officer, Privia Medical Group North Texas

Dr. Larry Tatum serves as the CEO of Privia Medical Group North Texas. As a founding member of Texas Health Care, PLLC, in 2003 and a member of Texas Health Care, PA from 1995-2002, Dr. Tatum has experienced the value and high success of a multi-specialty group governed and led by physicians. His experience in bringing together over 300+ providers geographically dispersed throughout North Texas and successfully working to improve healthcare is why he seeks to continue his journey rewarding physicians for the value they create.

Dr. Tatum graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in 1979. After completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas in 1983, Dr. Tatum began his gynecology practice in Fort Worth. Dr. Tatum began his medical career as a self-employed physician in a solo medical practice over 30 years ago after completing his residency and internship. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Association and is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (board-certified).  

Sanjay Shetty

President of CenterWell at Humana

Dr. Shetty is the incoming lead for Centerwell, Humana’s health care services business. In his new role, he will report to Humana President and CEO Bruce Broussard and will serve as a member of Humana’s Management Team starting April 1.

Previously, as President of Steward Health Care System, Sanjay Shetty, M.D., led day-to-day operations and strategy for Steward Health Care’s integrated health system in the United States, including 39 hospitals, a large multispecialty medical group, and Steward’s accountable care organization. Prior to being named to the newly created role of President of Steward Health Care System in March 2021, Dr. Shetty most recently served as President of Steward’s South Region. Throughout his tenure at Steward, Dr. Shetty has also held the roles of President of Steward Medical Group and President of Steward Health Care Network, as well as Vice President of Radiology, bringing a breadth of knowledge to this role to benefit Steward’s patients, providers and staff.

Amar A. Desai

Amar A. Desai, MD, MPH

CEO, Optum Health

Dr. Amar Desai is a physician, public health leader and health care executive with over two decades of experience transforming the healthcare system and helping patients lead healthier, more fulfilled lives.

Through his work at the intersection of direct patient care and health care systems, Dr. Desai has developed innovative delivery models that improve clinical outcomes, increase affordability, and transform the experience of being a healthcare consumer. By translating clinical excellence into economic value, Dr. Desai has improved care delivery in a range of settings, including early-stage start-ups, organizational turnaround, Fortune 200 companies, and academic health systems.

Currently, Dr. Desai serves as President for Health Care Delivery at CVS Health where he is responsible for the company’s health services organization and care delivery strategy across primary care, physician enablement, and technology enabled value-based care. In his role, he oversees retail health, behavioral health, and the development and implementation of payor-agnostic products and services.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Desai served as President and CEO of Optum Pacific West, building and operating the largest multi-payor value-based care delivery organization in the country. In this role, he oversaw Optum’s care delivery organizations throughout California, Oregon, and Washington comprised of more than 20,000 physicians and serving 2.5 million patients.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Desai served as the President of HealthCare Partners, a leading integrated delivery network serving over 700,000 patients. Dr. Desai also served as CEO of University of Southern California (USC) Care where he led transformative growth and positioned the university’s medical center as a regional leader for complex care. Prior to USC, Dr. Desai was a senior executive at DaVita, a global leader in dialysis care, where he advanced integrated kidney care models and led corporate strategy for the enterprise. 

Early in his career, Dr. Desai served as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. Dr. Desai received his Bachelor’s and Medical Degrees from Brown University, and his Masters in Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Keck School of Medicine at USC and has previously held faculty appointments at Stanford School of Medicine and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Mary Jo Williamson

Mary Jo Williamson

Chief Administrative Officer, Mayo Clinic Laboratories

Ms. Williamson is a distinguished administrative leader serving as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Mayo Clinic Laboratories. Previously she served as chief administrative officer for Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Prior to that she was chief administrative officer for Mayo Clinic Health System, chair of Mayo Clinic Practice Administration, and director of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

Her 25-year career with Mayo Clinic has provided opportunities ranging from developing the Ask Mayo Clinic nurse triage service and serving as vice chair to contracting and payer relations and vice chair of Mayo Clinic Health System to various leadership roles at all three Mayo Clinic locations. In addition to her Mayo Clinic responsibilities, Ms. Williamson currently serves as a board member of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and a board member of Resoundant, and has previously served as a board member of CentraCare Health System in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Prior to working for Mayo Clinic, she worked in the Strategic Services Division of Anderson Consulting and as director of budgeting for Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

Ms. Williamson has served on the Mayo Clinic Management Team, Mayo Clinic Clinical Practice Committee, Midwest Executive Operating Team, and Mayo Clinic Administrative Team and is a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Governors and Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Arizona State University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.

Paul Klotman

Paul Klotman, MD, FACP

President, CEO and Executive Dean, Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Paul Klotman began serving as president and CEO of Baylor College of Medicine on Sept. 1, 2010. He received his B.S. degree in 1972 from the University of Michigan and his M.D. from Indiana University in 1976. He completed his medicine and nephrology training at Duke University Medical Center. He stayed at Duke as a faculty member, rising to the rank of associate professor of medicine before moving to the NIH in 1988, where he became chief of the molecular medicine section in the laboratory of developmental biology. In 1993, he became chief of the Viral Pathogenesis Laboratory in the NIDR/NIH. In 1994, he moved to Mount Sinai School of Medicine as the Irene and Dr. Arthur M. Fishberg Professor of Medicine and the chief of the division of nephrology. In 2001, he was selected to be the chair of the Samuel Bronfman Department of Medicine of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The College’s Board of Trustees named him as the school’s new president in July of 2010.

Klotman’s research has been a blend of both basic and clinical research in molecular virology and AIDS pathogenesis. He developed the first small animal model of HIV associated nephropathy using transgenic techniques. He is the author of more than 200 publications, and he has been a visiting professor and lecturer internationally in the field of HIV pathogenesis. He has been elected to both the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians. He is on the editorial boards of journals both in the United States and in Europe, and he has served on and chaired numerous study sections including those from the NIH, the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, and the VA research service.

In addition to his laboratory efforts, Klotman has been an active clinician, teacher and mentor. Students from his laboratory have won prestigious scientific competitions. He has trained more than 50 clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and students in his laboratory since 1984, most of whom are independently funded. And, he was named Physician of the Year by Mount Sinai nurses. As the chair of medicine, he moved the department of medicine at Mount Sinai to a top tier academic program by expanding the faculty practice, increasing basic and clinical research revenues, developing new community projects and focusing on the educational mission.

Klotman serves on the scientific advisory boards of biotech, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. He also serves on the board of several companies including those with interests in natural resources and conservation.

At Baylor, he oversees the only private health science university in the Greater Southwest, with research funding of nearly $400 million. The medical school is ranked as one of the top 25 for research and one of the top ten for primary care by U.S. News & World Report. The School of Health Professions is among the best 15 in the nation and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is rated in the top five percent. In addition, the College is home to the first National School of Tropical Medicine in North America. The College is ranked first among all Texas colleges, universities and medical schools in federal funding for research and development, and is ranked second in federally funded research expenditures by the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Hayworth is the Chief Executive Officer at Hayworth Ventures, driving growth across the country as a physician expert in healthcare private equity advising, corporate board services, and investments. He was the CEO and market leader of the Optum Tri-State region, one of the five regions in the OptumHealth nationwide network from March 2021 to January 2023. Dr. Hayworth chairs the advisory board for IKS Health, he is an advisor for MedPro; and a senior advisor to Arsenal Capital Partners, BioIVT, and WIRB-Copernicus Group (WCG). He is the non-executive board chair of US Digestive Health. Dr. Hayworth has a national reputation as an authority on practice administration; multispecialty group management; and adaptation to the rapidly changing environment in healthcare, including the transition to value. Dr. Hayworth has been the President and CEO of CareMount Medical (formerly Mount Kisco Medical Group, PC) for more than 20 years, overseeing a nearly 15-fold expansion in the size of the group before it became part of Optum Tri-State in late 2020. Dr. Hayworth is a consultant to the Vincent Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and he is a past associate dean at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
