How To Watch Out Employees Mental Wellness Amidst Hybrid Workplace

While organizations have identified the urgency of creating frameworks that would help them tackle these situations, this is the time when organizations need to take up this cause from a two pronged approach of a top-down and bottom-up synthesis.

 

Amidst the chaos of new workspace dynamics, amidst the uncertainty of will this end – wont this end, amidst decisions to continue to work from home, come back to office, or overhaul the business models to suit hybrid workplace, organizations are forced to recognize the looming mental wellness challenge. The pandemic has played havoc with the minds of many people. It has fed anxiety, and led to fear psychosis in some cases. According to the Mental Health Foundation, 14.7% People at work face some kind of serious mental health issue. Another study states that upto 47% employees have experienced some degree of negative mental health during work-from-home. To address these staggering numbers, there are some key aspects that the human resources leadership can look at to make sure that while employees’ mental wellness is preserved and prioritized, it is also aligned with business objectives and the organization’s profitability.

Shared Responsibility

Mental health and wellness should not be constricted to being an individual’s sole responsibility within organizations. Especially now that the world has seen how important it is to have good mental health to be a fully functioning person. Workplaces can often be overwhelming for many people. Considering that we are still healing from the pandemic, work can continue to be imposing, stressful, and overstepping the work-life boundaries for many of us. The need of the hour at workplaces is a culture that encourages shared responsibility and collective awareness of mental wellness. Managers need to be trained to check-in with their team members, and understand any challenges or difficulties they may be facing with regards to their mental wellbeing. Organizations need to organize training programs that sensitize managers to have these conversations and pick up on the concerns, even if not overtly expressed. Organizations can develop programs that enable managers to manage any critical situation in a structured manner. Leadership is no more just about sharing targets and pushing people to achieve them. It has evolved into being more aware of the people you lead, and being involved in their overall well-being.

Safe Spaces at Workplace

One positive change that the pandemic has brought along at workplaces with regards to mental health is reducing the stigma surrounding the topic. While more and more people are comfortable speaking about and sharing their struggles with mental wellness, it is time that the leadership modifies their outlook towards their own liability in this aspect. In the past leaders were supposed to be invincible, and therefore were perceived to be ‘leaders’. However, in today’s time if a leader is comfortable with their own vulnerabilities, then they would be able to incite a feeling of equity, respect and assurance amongst their teams. Leaders should be encouraged to share their stories, whether it is feeling overwhelmed due to workload, stories of failures, or sharing more complex mental health issues. Consequently creating trust and safety for employees to come up with their stories/challenges. It is important for them to know that they would be taken seriously, and not shamed or judged for facing difficult situations with mental health. Organizations can also set-up trained volunteers who can be ‘safe space champions’, to listen to and provide a guiding light to these employees. Thus creating psychological safety for everyone involved.

 

Today the increasing awareness and growing need for mental wellbeing is being taken very seriously by organizations. Statistics show that the younger workforce is upto 3.5 times more likely to report/suffer mental health challenges. As organizations hire younger workforce and expand, they need to transform the way people processes are dealt with. Mental wellness needs more sensitivity and care, it also needs to be prioritized in the people’s agenda. Well cared for employees with optimal mental wellbeing are proven to be more productive, have positive sentiments towards the organization, and more likely to stay loyal. A well developed mental wellness plan will go a long way to improve employee outcome thus improving the organization’s performance.

As SVP, Care Transformation, Dr. Wang works closely with Peter Limeri and Dr. Grace Terrell to support platform implementation and advance our value-based care initiatives.

Before joining IKS Health, Dr. Wang was the Chief Operating Officer at Mass Advantage, a provider-owned health plan, where he was responsible for overseeing plan operations and driving performance. His areas of focus included total cost of care, quality, risk adjustment, member experience, and network strategy. Collaborating with health system partners, he developed care models designed for success under global capitation.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Wang led the palliative care service line at Scripps Health, expanding the team from 18 to 50 clinicians. As a cross-functional leader, he worked closely with teams across the organization to transform care delivery within risk-based payment models. Dr. Wang is also a recognized thought leader in complex care, with 75 peer-reviewed publications and numerous national presentations.

Dr. Navesh Kandiyil, MD, MBA, FACHE, is our Senior Vice President Coding Commercialization. Dr. Kandiyil is an accomplished physician with over 20 years of clinical and business experience. He is clinically trained and has practiced in various specialties, including General Medicine, Surgery, and Occupational Health. His extensive knowledge encompasses diagnostic and patient care services across diverse delivery settings, including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and government/private hospitals and clinics, both domestically and internationally.

At IKS Health, Dr. Kandiyil is responsible for accelerating the growth and commercialization of our coding business. He collaborates with product teams on new feature development and enhancements, and with market-facing teams to support commercialization efforts.

Dave has been a leader in healthcare for the past 30 years, with experience in physician practice management and ambulatory surgery centers. Dave is currently serving as the interim CEO of OrthoNY, a 90+ provider orthopedic specialty group with 3 ambulatory surgery centers. He is the former CEO of Proliance Surgeons, a 450+ specialty provider medical group with 23 surgery centers.

During Dave’s 20 years as CEO, Proliance grew from a small orthopedic group to a large, statewide group with many different specialties. As the former CEO of Frontier Derm Partners, a private equity-backed dermatology MSO spanning two states and over 100 providers, he led Frontier through a significant platforming process, growing the organization while maintaining focus during the COVID shutdowns. Dave is the founder of Burst Advisors which was formed to share his experience with doctors all over the country who are working together in their communities, whether they are in an independent group, a surgery center, or thinking about partnering with a larger platform.

A 33-year veteran of the healthcare IT field, Mr. Patrick Cline is a highly respected strategist and experienced operator. He became the CEO of Lightbeam Health in 2012, and is a certified executive coach, mentoring leaders in balance, communication, teamwork, and goal achievement. At IKS Health, Mr. Cline is the Advisor and Executive Coach to Joe Benardello, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. 

From 2009 – 2011, he served as the President and Chief Strategy Officer of Quality Systems Inc. Mr. Cline was responsible for identifying and overseeing the continued growth of QSI through the development and management of partnerships and strategic alliances that expanded and strengthened its market presence and capabilities. Prior to QSI, Mr. Cline served as President of NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, one of the first electronic health record systems. NextGen was acquired by Quality Systems, a small publicly-held division of QSI, where Pat and his team eventually stayed on to run the NextGen subsidiary. Before the start of his illustrious journey in healthcare, Mr. Cline was with the Marine Corps. At the age of 21, he developed one of the industry’s first medical practice management systems.

Mr. Sclafani is the Former President and Chief Operating Officer of Veritas Veterinary Partners, a leading nationwide provider of Emergency and Specialty Veterinarian services. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Optum Tri- State. For over 20 years he had been the Chief Operating Officer of CareMount Medical, PC (formerly known as Mount Kisco Medical Group). Mr. Sclafani was an integral member of the executive leadership team at CareMount and was a key participant in the development of the strategic and operational direction for the Group.

Prior to joining CareMount, he was a Senior Vice President at Putnam Hospital Center (PHC). Before PHC, Mr. Sclafani worked for Central Hudson Gas and Electric. Right after college, he served four years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.
Mr. Sclafani earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Villanova University and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Fordham University.

Mr. Swartz leads the development of cooperative relationships between physicians and Dignity Health hospitals and management, profit and loss responsibility, physician related mergers and acquisitions, and provides leadership to the development of physician support mechanisms that facilitate the alignment of physicians and Dignity Health entities..

Prior to Dignity Health, he served as the Executive Vice President of MED3000, a national technology and physician practice management company. In that role, Mr. Swartz was responsible for national managed care operations, payer and provider risk management contracts, and emergency response operations.

In addition, Mr. Swartz held executive positions at WellPoint as Vice President Network Management, inclusive of Commercial, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and ancillary provider contracting, Chief Operating Officer for Premier Practice Management, Senior Vice President Mergers and Acquisitions for MedPartners, and Vice President Operations for Mullikin Medical Centers.

Mr. Swartz holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and Masters of Healthcare Administration from California State University Northridge.

Dr. Muney is a physician and executive leader with more than 35 years of experience leading healthcare payor and provider organizations. As the part-time Chief Medical Officer at SelectQuote Insurance services, he provides strategic guidance on program development and execution for health plan initiatives focusing on member engagement, clinical quality, and care delivery. He also drives initiatives that support healthcare services members in accessing high-value medical and clinical services to achieve improved health outcomes.

Most recently, he served as Cigna’s Chief Medical Officer and EVP of Total Health and Network, overseeing clinical strategy, coverage policy, quality measurement and improvement, and total health physician and clinical operations. Before Cigna, Dr. Muney was an Executive Director in the Private Equity Group at Blackstone and the CEO of Equity Healthcare, which he founded to manage the healthcare costs of Blackstone’s portfolio companies. Alan was also EVP, Chief Medical Officer of Oxford Health Plans, and Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealthcare of the Northeast region from 1998-2007.

Member Emeritus, IKS Health Advisory Board Dr. David Torchiana, MD serves as Chairman of Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) at Massachusetts General Hospital and has also been its Chief Executive Officer since 2003. MGPO is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation, and the largest physician group practice in New England, representing more than 2,000 physicians. Dr. Torchiana was the Chief of cardiac surgery at Mass General from 1998 to 2003. He completed residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital before joining the Department of Surgery in 1989. 

He is a member of American College of Surgeons and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and a trustee of Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Torchiana is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Ferris is a practicing primary care physician and Senior Vice President for Population Health at Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners HealthCare in Boston. He is also an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and holds degrees from Middlebury College, Oxford University, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health. 

Former positions include Vice Chair of Pediatrics at Mass General and Medical Director of Mass General Physicians Organization. He leads the Partners Healthcare Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and is responsible for design and implementation of system-wide care delivery changes that will improve patient health, improve patient experience of healthcare, and reduce the healthcare cost burden. Dr. Tatum graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in 1979. After completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas in 1983, Dr. Tatum began his gynecology practice in Fort Worth. Dr. Tatum began his medical career as a self-employed physician in a solo medical practice over 30 years ago after completing his residency and internship. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Association and is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (board-certified).

Dr. Shetty is the incoming lead for Centerwell, Humana’s health care services business. In his new role, he will report to Humana President and CEO Bruce Broussard and will serve as a member of Humana’s Management Team starting April 1.

Previously, as President of Steward Health Care System, Sanjay Shetty, M.D., led day-to-day operations and strategy for Steward Health Care’s integrated health system in the United States, including 39 hospitals, a large multispecialty medical group, and Steward’s accountable care organization. Prior to being named to the newly created role of President of Steward Health Care System in March 2021, Dr. Shetty most recently served as President of Steward’s South Region. Throughout his tenure at Steward, Dr. Shetty has also held the roles of President of Steward Medical Group and President of Steward Health Care Network, as well as Vice President of Radiology, bringing a breadth of knowledge to this role to benefit Steward’s patients, providers and staff.

Amar A. Desai

Dr. Amar Desai is a physician, public health leader and health care executive with over two decades of experience transforming the healthcare system and helping patients lead healthier, more fulfilled lives.

Through his work at the intersection of direct patient care and health care systems, Dr. Desai has developed innovative delivery models that improve clinical outcomes, increase affordability, and transform the experience of being a healthcare consumer. By translating clinical excellence into economic value, Dr. Desai has improved care delivery in a range of settings, including early-stage start-ups, organizational turnaround, Fortune 200 companies, and academic health systems.

Currently, Dr. Desai serves as President for Health Care Delivery at CVS Health where he is responsible for the company’s health services organization and care delivery strategy across primary care, physician enablement, and technology enabled value-based care. In his role, he oversees retail health, behavioral health, and the development and implementation of payor-agnostic products and services.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Desai served as President and CEO of Optum Pacific West, building and operating the largest multi-payor value-based care delivery organization in the country. In this role, he oversaw Optum’s care delivery organizations throughout California, Oregon, and Washington comprised of more than 20,000 physicians and serving 2.5 million patients.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Desai served as the President of HealthCare Partners, a leading integrated delivery network serving over 700,000 patients. Dr. Desai also served as CEO of University of Southern California (USC) Care where he led transformative growth and positioned the university’s medical center as a regional leader for complex care. Prior to USC, Dr. Desai was a senior executive at DaVita, a global leader in dialysis care, where he advanced integrated kidney care models and led corporate strategy for the enterprise. 

Early in his career, Dr. Desai served as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. Dr. Desai received his Bachelor’s and Medical Degrees from Brown University, and his Masters in Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Keck School of Medicine at USC and has previously held faculty appointments at Stanford School of Medicine and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Mary Jo Williamson

Ms. Williamson is a distinguished administrative leader serving as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Mayo Clinic Laboratories. Previously she served as chief administrative officer for Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Prior to that she was chief administrative officer for Mayo Clinic Health System, chair of Mayo Clinic Practice Administration, and director of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

Her 25-year career with Mayo Clinic has provided opportunities ranging from developing the Ask Mayo Clinic nurse triage service and serving as vice chair to contracting and payer relations and vice chair of Mayo Clinic Health System to various leadership roles at all three Mayo Clinic locations. In addition to her Mayo Clinic responsibilities, Ms. Williamson currently serves as a board member of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and a board member of Resoundant, and has previously served as a board member of CentraCare Health System in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Prior to working for Mayo Clinic, she worked in the Strategic Services Division of Anderson Consulting and as director of budgeting for Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

Ms. Williamson has served on the Mayo Clinic Management Team, Mayo Clinic Clinical Practice Committee, Midwest Executive Operating Team, and Mayo Clinic Administrative Team and is a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Governors and Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Arizona State University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.

Paul Klotman

Paul Klotman, MD, FACP

President, CEO and Executive Dean, Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Paul Klotman began serving as president and CEO of Baylor College of Medicine on Sept. 1, 2010. He received his B.S. degree in 1972 from the University of Michigan and his M.D. from Indiana University in 1976. He completed his medicine and nephrology training at Duke University Medical Center. He stayed at Duke as a faculty member, rising to the rank of associate professor of medicine before moving to the NIH in 1988, where he became chief of the molecular medicine section in the laboratory of developmental biology. In 1993, he became chief of the Viral Pathogenesis Laboratory in the NIDR/NIH. In 1994, he moved to Mount Sinai School of Medicine as the Irene and Dr. Arthur M. Fishberg Professor of Medicine and the chief of the division of nephrology. In 2001, he was selected to be the chair of the Samuel Bronfman Department of Medicine of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The College’s Board of Trustees named him as the school’s new president in July of 2010.

Klotman’s research has been a blend of both basic and clinical research in molecular virology and AIDS pathogenesis. He developed the first small animal model of HIV associated nephropathy using transgenic techniques. He is the author of more than 200 publications, and he has been a visiting professor and lecturer internationally in the field of HIV pathogenesis. He has been elected to both the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians. He is on the editorial boards of journals both in the United States and in Europe, and he has served on and chaired numerous study sections including those from the NIH, the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, and the VA research service.

In addition to his laboratory efforts, Klotman has been an active clinician, teacher and mentor. Students from his laboratory have won prestigious scientific competitions. He has trained more than 50 clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and students in his laboratory since 1984, most of whom are independently funded. And, he was named Physician of the Year by Mount Sinai nurses. As the chair of medicine, he moved the department of medicine at Mount Sinai to a top tier academic program by expanding the faculty practice, increasing basic and clinical research revenues, developing new community projects and focusing on the educational mission.

Klotman serves on the scientific advisory boards of biotech, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. He also serves on the board of several companies including those with interests in natural resources and conservation.

At Baylor, he oversees the only private health science university in the Greater Southwest, with research funding of nearly $400 million. The medical school is ranked as one of the top 25 for research and one of the top ten for primary care by U.S. News & World Report. The School of Health Professions is among the best 15 in the nation and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is rated in the top five percent. He is the non-executive board chair of US Digestive Health. Dr. Hayworth has a national reputation as an authority on practice administration; multispecialty group management; and adaptation to the rapidly changing environment in healthcare, including the transition to value. Dr. Hayworth has been the President and CEO of CareMount Medical (formerly Mount Kisco Medical Group, PC) for more than 20 years, overseeing a nearly 15-fold expansion in the size of the group before it became part of Optum Tri-State in late 2020. Sarah has a well rounded understanding of healthcare B2B through her experience in EHR integration startups and larger organizations like Stericycle, across patient facing technology and services. Most recently, Sarah served as the Vice President of marketing at Carenet Health where she led a cross functional team to remarkable achievements. Her role at IKS Health will primarily focus on product marketing, account-based marketing, content, and marketing operations.

Mr. Sarathy has played a pivotal role in shaping IKS Health’s go-to-market strategy since 2008. A seasoned executive with experience across multiple industries including Management Consulting, Venture Capital and Business Process Management, he continues to be at the helm of new service offerings and solutions development at IKS Health.

Prior to joining the company, Partha served as Vice President – Knowledge Services at WNS, a leading Global Business Process Management company. Among his various roles at WNS, Partha helped set up and grow the Research and Analytics division, where he helped define the offerings, sell the services, and manage delivery. He also led the Pre-Sales/Solutions function, where he was responsible for conducting diagnostic studies for prospective clients; developing suitable solutions to address their requirements; preparing proposals and presentations; and pricing.

He has previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a management consultant in the strategy consulting practice. He has also served as a management consultant at A.F.Ferguson; investment analyst at the Boston-based venture capital firm, View Group; and marketing manager at Philips.

Prior to joining IKS Health, Mr. Madatiparambil worked with Lionbridge Technologies where he was responsible for driving business value for the company’s healthcare division. Mr. Madatiparambil has also worked with Freddie Mac where he was part of a team that identified, prioritized and performed business analysis for the Credit Policy and Portfolio Management group. Dr. Barbara Hodne is a highly accomplished physician and leader with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She works alongside various teams to represent Clinical Support Solutions to our future and existing partners and works with the Product Team to drive enhancements in the existing and future IKS products.

Prior to joining IKS Health, she was the Chief Quality Officer at The Iowa Clinic, where she was responsible for leading the organization’s quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Hodne is also a board-certified family physician and has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout her career, including medical director, associate quality director, and member of the board of directors.

Dr. Hodne is a passionate advocate for quality healthcare and has a proven track record of success in improving patient care. She is a member of the American Medical Group Association’s Quality Council and the Iowa Medical Society’s Committee on Legislation. She is also a charter member of the Population Health Leaders Network and an advisor to the Obesity Collaborative.

Marty has over 35 years of diversified technology management experience holding leadership positions in global organizations including AQuity Solutions, Ashland Oil (APAC), Verizon (GTE wireless) and Delta Airlines (TranQuest).

Marty has extensive experience with building best in class IT organizations through best in class secure and stable environments, innovative tools, techniques, and a high-touch customer supporting infrastructure.

Nicole Davis is responsible for client relations, solution design, and improving margin growth for clients. She has over 2 decades of experience in consulting and revenue cycle management within large hospital and academic medical center environments, both for clinic-based and hospital-based services. Prior to joining IKS Health, Ms. Davis worked with North Shore/LIJ Health System managing the entire revenue cycle for clinical departments including Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. She also worked for Per-Se Technologies (now McKesson), managing a number of hospital-based physician practice groups where she was responsible for the performance of all revenue-related functions.

Ms. Davis has a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of California at Davis. She is an active member of HFMA, Healthcare Leaders of NY, and MGMA.

Before coming to IKS, Mr. Pant co-founded Reventics Inc. At Reventics, Mayank headed the new product innovation and growth strategy. Before Reventics, Mr. Pant spent over a decade at Sutherland Healthcare Solutions in India and the US, managing different roles across P&L management, Customer advisory and innovation.

Mr. Pant is an alumnus of Northeastern University, Boston, where he completed his MS in Innovation. Mr. Pant lives with his wife and two children in Bridgewater, NJ, and enjoys reading, mentoring start-ups, and traveling with the family.

Dr. Benjamin Crocker

Dr. Crocker is responsible for designing new products and solutions as well as refining/improving existing services within the Clinical Care Solutions pillar of IKS Health’s Provider Enablement Platform for both current and prospective clients.  He is passionate about team-based care and culture, technology and innovation, and the patient voice in healthcare transformation.

Dr. Crocker is a general internist/primary care physician and most recently served as Medical Director of the Ambulatory Practice of the Future (APF) at MGPO, where he provided clinical care and conducted collaborative research in the application of technologies to the field of primary care to enhance the knowledge and quality of innovative, patient- centered, team-based care.

Dr. Crocker brings over 20 years of clinical experience and thought leadership in team-based, patient-centered primary care, clinical operations, and healthcare innovation. In 2010, he co-founded and later served as medical director of one of Massachusetts General Hospital’s (MGH) premier primary care practices in Boston, MA.  He has participated in multiple aspects of practice design and operations improvement.  He is published on a wide range of topics including post-discharge telephone follow-up, point of care testing, technology-assisted apprenticeship in chronic disease management, embedded health and wellness coaching, and the patient-centered medical home.  Dr. Crocker also helped establish the first practice-centered PFAC (patient-family advisory committee) in his organization.

Dr. Crocker is the co-founder of the APF Innovation Learning Program which established a “living laboratory” within the clinical primary care environment to partner with academic and industry leaders to explore, design, create and test technological solutions to present and future day challenges in primary care.  While there, he spearheaded the design, implementation, and scaling of what is now IKS’ AssuRx centralized prescription renewal service to reduce staff administrative burden and introduce a new standard of safety in the prescription-renewal process. He also led primary care-based Scribble and New Chart Prep implementation and utilization.

A graduate of Tuft University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Crocker received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and attended Boston University Medical Center for residency in Internal Medicine as well as an additional year as chief medical resident.

As SVP of Clinical Services, Gaurav has been a pillar within the Legacy IKS business for over 15 years. Gaurav leads our combined Clinical Services Support Feature Cluster including the operating teams from both the Legacy AQuity and Legacy India teams. In addition, Gaurav continues to maintain his customer facing role across all customers and will own the consolidated P&L for the CSS Feature Cluster.

Gaurav has worked with Physiotherapy Associates and Lionbridge Technologies Inc. before joining IKS Health where he was responsible for driving business outcomes with business process re-engineering and automation with technology products. During his association with Lionbridge, he played a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a $1.5 million Medicaid Application Tracking System for Golden Ventures, Fort Smith-AR that resulted in annualized efficiencies of $10M for the corporation. Gaurav comes with vast experience of developing and implementing technology solutions across Healthcare Value Chain.

Deval Majmudar leads IKS Health’s revenue optimization vertical that comprises some of the largest client delivery teams. He has a proven track record of enabling optimal clinical and operational outcomes for clients through growth by optimizing productivity, revenue capture and collections.

Deval demonstrates success in leading and working in multi-cultural environments and has contributed in large account acquisitions, building teams, steep ramp-up and project initiation, and interfacing with customer leadership teams. His diverse background includes expertise in all aspects of merger and acquisition activities, cultural integration, and positive financial performance.

Dr. Sri Madabushi

Dr. Sri Madabushi is the EVP and General Manager of the Value-Based Care (VBC) at IKS. In his role, he oversees Product and Operations efforts to help build out and scale our VBC business rapidly.

Prior to IKS he was a co-founder of Google Health and helped lead its global business development efforts over the past 8+ years. Sri has held a variety of high-profile roles there across different business units such as Health, Brain (Google’s premier AI/ML team), and Cloud. Prior to that, Sri was associated with Novartis Diagnostics where he was the Region Head & GM of Southeast Asia. He started his career as a management consultant at ZS Associates and is trained as a scientist with a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX). He has a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology & Biophysics from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (New Delhi, India).

He has over 26 years of experience in the fields of professional services (management and technology consulting, IT and IT enabled services). He has previously worked with Syntel Private Ltd. and Accenture India Private Limited. He joined our Company on September 22, 2023. He is responsible for business strategy and communication of our Company.

Abhay Kumar Srivastava is the Chief Human Resource Officer of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in arts (history) from University of Delhi and master’s in personnel management from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. He has over 14 years of experience in the fields of people management, organisational development and talent. He has previously worked with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, Piramal Enterprises Limited, Cipla Ltd. and Ordnance Factory Board Kolkata. He joined our Company on November 12, 2020. He is responsible for talent management and executive compensation, executive leadership, talent acquisition and corporate communication of IKS Group.

Taylor Curtis joins IKS Health (employed with IKS inc.) as Executive Vice President & Chief Corporate Development Officer. He comes with 25 years of experience in investment banking, corporate strategy, business development and treasury solutions. Most recently, Taylor served as Head of Healthcare Corporate Banking for Texas Capital Bank, where he was responsible for bank’s relationships with provider groups, home care and hospice companies, behavioral health providers, pharmaceutical services businesses and healthcare IT companies.

Prior to Texas Capital Bank, Taylor served as a Managing Director for Cowen and a predecessor firm, MHT Partners, where he led the healthcare services M&A advisory team. Prior to joining MHT Partners in 2011, he served in a variety of roles including Director of Corporate Strategy for ORIX USA Corporation, Assistant Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations for Concentra Inc. and Director of Corporate Development for Electronic Data Systems Corporation. Taylor began his career in New York with Greenhill & Co., a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm.

In 2013, Taylor was named Finalist, Dealmaker of the Year by ACG DFW and DCEO, based on transactions he led that year, and he was named a Winner of the 5th Annual 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards, based on his career accomplishments, professional expertise, and community service. Taylor graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the Business Honors Program and Finance.

As the EVP and Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at IKS Health (employed with IKS inc.), Phillina leads our Global Legal and Compliance functions.

Phillina has over 15 years of experience building and leading legal teams across industries, including energy, logistics, distribution, and the healthcare industry. Most recently, she served as Managing Chief Counsel in the Corporate Governance and Transactions team at McKesson, where she was responsible for leading McKesson’s parent and subsidiary governance teams. Prior to joining McKesson, she was General Counsel at Tellurian Inc., a NASDAQ traded energy company. At Tellurian, she was responsible for building the legal department and leading the negotiations of all business transactions and developing the company’s compliance and risk management program. Prior to Tellurian, Phillina held leadership roles in the legal departments at Fortune Global 500 companies: BP, BHP Billiton and Sysco.

Phillina earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her M.A. and B.A. from Stanford University. Phillina was recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and Houston Business Journal (HBJ) as Outstanding In-house Counsel in 2015, and in 2019 she was named “Texas Leading General Counsels” and “Top 50 Women General Counsels in Texas” by the National Diversity Institute of Law. In 2021, Phillina was recognized by the Racial Justice Institute with the Racial Justice Champion Award for her commitment to furthering racial equality. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Texas General Counsel Forum, and the Stanford Club of Houston.

As CFO at IKS Health, Anand leads our Global Financial Operations, Administration & Facilities, IT Infrastructure including ERP and Workforce Management.

Anand is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and brings over 30 years of industry experience in the finance domain. He is a strategic finance leader with a solid track record of delivering results in world class organizations such as Unilever and Johnson & Johnson for over 20 years, including Asia Pacific roles. He also has over 10 years of experience in India CFO roles – (Johnson & Johnson and Quest International) and 6 years in a large Indian MNC as Group Financial Controller.

Anand holds expertise in end-to-end P&L management, Business Planning, Forecasting, Strategy, Acquisitions and Divestitures, Team leadership, Post merger integration, IFRS, US GAAP, Business Transformation, Cross-functional Team Leadership and strong experience in Supply Chain. Anand is passionate about new technologies that make enabling functions more efficient and effective in their role as business partners. Anand aspires to inculcate a culture of cross-functional collaboration and process driven excellence across the various dimensions of his role.

Anand received his B.Com degree from DG Vaishnav College, Chennai and subsequently completed Chartered Accountancy.

Prior to IKS Health, John was a Partner and growth leader with Guidehouse. He has 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with over 20 years experience in management consulting. He is a seasoned industry leader with a passion for developing optimal, customized partnerships with clients that drive overall impact, enable key organizational strategies, enhance financial performance, and mitigate risk. He prides himself in developing client relationships that directly add tangible impact through aligned incentives and delivering results.

Dr. Shane Hsuing Peng is the chief clinical services and innovation officer of IKS Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science and a degree of doctor of medicine from McMaster University. He has been granted certifications in family medicine and special competence in emergency medicine by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He has been designated as a certified independent medical examiner by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He has been certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice for the period 1998 to 2005. He was previously associated with Williamsburg James City County Medical Society and Williamsburg Community Health Foundation. He joined IKS Inc. on February 1, 2018.

He has also passed all the sections of the Uniform CPA examination conducted by the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy. He was previously associated with CBay Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Grace Terrell is the chief medical officer of IKS Inc. She holds a bachelor’s degree in arts (religion) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a degree of medicine from Duke University and a degree of master of medical management from Carnegie Mellon University. She has completed her residency in internal medicine from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University and the North Carolina Baptist Hospitals, Incorporated. Further, she has also completed her residency in pathology from Duke University. She has been certified as a diplomate in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine for the period 2013 to 2023 and as a diplomate of the national board of medical examiners. Further, she is a fellow of the American College of Physician Executives and the American College of Physicians. She has also been designated as a Morehead Scholar by the John Motley Morehead Foundation. She has been granted a license to practise as a physician in the state of North Carolina. She is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to her appointment in IKS Inc., she was engaged by IKS Inc. for providing consultancy services to IKS Inc. She joined IKS Inc. on August 1, 2022.

He joined IKS Inc. on August 1, 2022.

Since co-founding IKS Health in 2007, Joe Benardello has led the organization’s strategy and marketing as the organization has grown to serve many of the United States premier health institutions. Addressing the ever-changing challenges and trends of the healthcare industry, he drives solution design, implementation, and delivery to fundamentally address the regulatory, technological, and fiscal challenges facing healthcare organizations today.

With a background in technology, Mr. Benardello served as Vice President at Lionbridge Technologies for several lines of business inclusive of healthcare. He joined Lionbridge Technologies from eTesting Labs, where he built and led the go-to-market strategy. Under his leadership, eTesting Labs was strategically acquired by Lionbridge Technologies in 2002.

Mr. Sachin K. Gupta leads IKS Health as the company’s founding Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Gupta founded IKS Health in 2006 with the goal of building the leading provider enablement platform that enables providers enterprises deliver better, safer and more efficient care at scale with a strategic blend of expertise and technology. Armed with a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, executive acumen and strategic vision, Mr. Gupta continues to shape and lead the organization on the path of rapid growth and success. A computer science engineer by training, Mr. Gupta also serves on the Board of Abridge, a pioneer in Generative AI for healthcare and as the Board observer for SIFT Healthcare, an AI focused technology company that is aiming to deliver data-driven denial management and patient payment optimization.

Prior to founding IKS Health, Mr. Gupta served as a Director of Strategic Accounts at Lionbridge Technologies, a leading technology enabled service provider. Mr. Gupta led the healthcare provider initiatives at Lionbridge which included partnering with Beverly Enterprises (now Golden Living) in its very successful financial turnaround. Mr. Gupta has a successful history of working in and/or building technology enabled organizations such as Majoris (now Valtech), Rolta and Selectica that enabled Fortune 500 Enterprises to operate more efficiently.
